Tuomas Välimäki has been a member of the Bank of Finland Board since 12 July 2018. He is responsible for monetary policy implementation and investment of the Bank’s financial assets, as well as payment systems and cash supply. His responsibilities also cover information management, the development of a digital euro, and the Bank’s research function, including the Bank of Finland Institute for Emerging Economies (BOFIT). Välimäki is a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank.
